Medical Centre
Dr. Michel Brossard is in Inverness every second Wednesday. The date of his next visit is posted at the entrance of the Municipal building. His office is located in the same building. Appointments can be made by calling (418) 453-2565.

The Library
The Inverness Municipal Library is situated at 1801 Dublin Street.
Opening hours are:
Thurday and Friday: From 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Wednesday: From 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM (only on days when there are doctor's office hours)

Library services are free for all residents of Inverness.

  • Access to more than 750,000 documents, choice of magazines for all ages and videocassettes for children.
  • Internet access during working hours at the cost of $2,00 an hour.
  • Special activites and conferences during the year such as gardening, genealogy, etc. and don't forget story telling time for children between the ages of 3 and 6 years old, on the first Saturday of each month at 10:15 AM.

Community Centre
The municipality can rent out the cafeteria and the gymnasium of l’École Jean XXIII when there are no classes (evenings and weekends). The municipality also rents out the small room at the fire station. It is free for non-profit organizations in the municipality. For others, the cost is $25.00. Those who are interested can contact the municipal office at (418) 453-2512.

Jean XXXIII French School
Inverness offers schooling in French for children from kingergarten through grade 6. (Enrollment for 2005-2006: 65)

Dublin Inverness Home
There is a home for senior citizens whose autonomy is slightly diminished or for convalescence. There are 7 single rooms and 2 double rooms.

Spiritual life
There are churches of three denominations: Catholic, Anglican and a combined Presbyterian/United.

Skating Rink
The outdoor skating rink is located on the school grounds. Weather permitting, it is open:
Monday to Friday: 18:30-21:00

Park
The park is situated in the centre of town and has playground equipment for children.

Skate Board Park
The skatepark is located in the park and has a variety of ramps for those who wish to improve their skills.
